  1. Kia ora Healy,

Well done for looking into another SLJ activity, 'The Power of Ten'. Sir David Attenborough is an incredible man, have you ever watched any of the documentaries that he has made? I remember watching one of his documentaries called, 'Deep Blue'. This documentary filmed all the beautiful wildlife that lived in the arctic. Maybe you could watch it with your family on the next rainy day.

Would it not be amazing to work with the animals he works with every day. He has chosen some incredible animals that he would attempt to save from extinction.

I think I would try and save:
    1. The Maui Dolphin as this is one of New Zealand's most endangered native animals.
    2. The sloth, because they are very cute and rather interesting animals. They seem to fascinate me.
    3. Elephants because they remind me of my Nana. They are a very special creature to me and it breaks my heart when I see them being abused or killed.
    4. Kereru's because they are a beautiful native bird. I often find myself getting teary eyed when I talk about this amazing creature. I had my first encounter with one when I was very young with my Pampa and it reminds me of our trip around New Zealand.

They are my top 4 animals that I would like to save from endangerment. What 10 animals would you want to save?

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

    Nga mihi,
    Megan :)
